Nola is a bright, affectionate and deeply loyal young girl who forms the most beautiful bonds with her people. In the home she is a truly lovely companion, calm, cuddly and wonderfully connected. She adores human touch and will happily sit for hours being stroked or brushed. Closeness is her happy place.
Nola is an intelligent, sensitive girl. Like many clever, switched-on dogs, she can sometimes find busy environments overwhelming and will need some support in this area but she has made encouraging progress particularly with her lead walking and her ability to stay calm when her environment is well managed.
She is highly food motivated, eager to learn and responds very well to positive reward based training and guidance.
Nola thrives with structure and predictability. In lower distraction settings she shows just how capable she is, and with continued calm, consistent support she has every potential to keep building her confidence as a young dog.
Ideally, Nola would love to find a home with a well matched, calm, confident and playful dog. She really enjoys the company of dogs she knows, attends weekly socialisation sessions and occasional daycare, and comes home happily tired. A steady companion would help her to settle, navigate the world and continue building her confidence.
At home, Nola is settled and reliable. She is fully house trained, sleeps well through the night and can be left for up to around four hours without issue. She isn't crate trained as she currently enjoys free roam and chooses to sleep upstairs but, like all dogs, a safe space with a stair gate will help her to settle.
With unfamiliar visitors she may bark initially, but with simple management and a little time to assess, she settles well. With family and friends she knows, she is relaxed, affectionate and friendly.
Nola has responded really well to learning cue words through positive reward training and knows basis cues including sit, wait, paw and down. She is easy to motivate with food, there isn't much she won't work for!
Enrichment is one of Nola's favourite things. She loves squeaky toys (especially 'deconstructing' them!), treat balls, snuffle mats, shredding cardboard and scent games. She will happily chase a ball too, particularly if another dog has shown interest first!
Nola is a healthy girl, up to date with flea, tick and worming treatments, and vaccinated (booster due April 2026).
Nola would suit a patient, understanding home that appreciates sensitive, intelligent dogs and is happy to continue nurturing her confidence. In the right environment, particularly one that isn't overly busy, We believe that in the right home, this affectionate, playful girl will become a deeply loyal and devoted companion to both her humans and her canine friend.
