OTHER: Louie is one of Jaz’s (see photo) 5 pups who gave birth in our care. Jaz is a beautiful hound mix girl.
Louie is such an amazing boy and really stole the ladies' hearts at kennels.
Louie is quite confident and is a social boy! He loves chasing around playing and loves running around and letting off some energy! Being a hound mix he loves to sniff and explore too!
Louie is a very handsome boy who is eager to learn and very clever. He loves finding his food through the challenge of scatter feeding for extra mental stimulation and enrichment. He loves to play 'go find it' and enjoys high value treats that he needs to work for.
Louie enjoys his Kong, filled with peanut butter, coconut and honey and having a frozen carrot for snack which are well spread throughout the day.
Louie loves playing the game that his current foster calls 'Louie in the middle', where a teddy is thrown between two people while Louie tries to get it.
Louie is a bundle of energy, he enjoys his walks and exploring in the forest. He is an excellent jumper, so keeping an eye on him when in the garden is advisable, though he has not managed to jump the fence in his current home!
On lead, Louie can get vocal with the excitement of seeing other dogs. Louie's current foster has been working in this with distraction methods and encouraging calm but it is still a work in progress.
Like most dogs of his age, Louie is still working on his recall but has been doing well in enclosed spaces. The excitement and distraction of other dogs being around and recall will require more work as he is very playful, so a long lead will be necessary until his recall has been perfected.
Louie is toilet trained but he isn't fond of cold, rainy days so on these days his foster will have a toilet schedule and take him out to the garden every 30 minutes) to give him the opportunity to go and avoid any accidents in the house.
Louie loves to be close to his humans and having cuddles, if he could sleep in your arms the whole day he would! Louie is used to being around children as our rescuer's daughter helped to bring the pups up. He is currently in foster with a young child and is a very gentle boy.
Louie would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time, where he can be the centre of the family and a loyal, loving companion to his humans.
Louie really will make such an amazing addition to a family, he is just a typical playful happy boy and all his siblings are doing amazing in their homes.
