OTHER INFO: Malik was not rescued by Second Chance Dog Rescue. He came to the UK as a direct adoption through his Egyptian rescuer.
After being contacted by his rescuer, we agreed to provide rescue back up to protect Malik and bring him into the Second Chance Family.
Unfortunately, Malik's adoption placement did not work out for him, and after 5 months, we decided to bring him back into the care of the rescue. Full details will be provided to applicants.
Malik is now at Kennels in Newport. He is a lovely boy. He has adjusted well to the routine and is doing great. Malik has been fully assessed at Kennels and responded well.
Malik has been diagnosed with double hip dysplasia. He is currently prescribed pain medication, which appears to be managing his condition well at the moment.
Malik enjoys his walks and being outside exploring. He has recently visited the beach, which he loved. He walks well on lead, and he leads the way but does not excessively pull.
Malik can be a little nervous around traffic and moving vehicles but recovers well when moved away and distracted.
Malik loves to play and enjoys balls, soft toys, and other interactive games.
Malik enjoys a fuss and a brush and will paw you to continue if you stop. He enjoys the attention and loves a belly rub when he feels comfortable with you.
Malik meets and interacts well with other dogs and enjoys their company. He is a sociable boy. He lived happily with other dogs in the previous home, and while he was in rescue in Egypt.
