Max was saved from being kept on a chain in Bosnia, he was so pleased to be saved and was the most loving boy in rescue.

Max was really social with the other dogs in pension and loves to chase around and play with the other doggies. He really enjoyed being around his rescuer as well and would jump up for cuddles and affection.

Max is currently in a home in the Gloucester area but unfortunately he is struggling with the inconsistency of one of his adopters working away for periods of time which is affecting his stress levels and ability to settle.

Max is a really loving and playful boy, he has formed a lovely bond with his adopter who is at home with him. He loves his toys, his is favourite is his squeaky ball.He loves to be chased around the garden with his toys.

Max is still a young boy and still has a lot of puppy energy. He likes to play with other dogs with correct introductions as, like many dogs, he can be a little unsure at first but once he knows that the other dog just wants to play he's fine. He would love to be in a home with a slightly older, well matched dog who could show him the way and help him settle.

Max is a very clever boy and he loves to show you his tricks! He is very food motivated and has responded brilliantly to positive reward training. He already knows Sit, Paw, Lie Down, Spin, Up, and Go to Bed!

Max loves all sorts of chews, his treat ball and any other treat based games and puzzles that provide mentally stimulating enrichment and he can find treats! This is great for giving him some down time and encouraging relaxation and calm.

Max can be a little unsure of new things, like lots of dogs who are still settling in and learning about their new home and environment but, with a little reassurance and encouragement he is fine. He has struggled with visitors coming to the home but again he is still within his settling in period and learning as a young dog.

Max is doing well on walks but, as a young dog and a newly arrived rescue, he is still learning. Another dog is likely to help Max in this area also to help build up his confidence and show him the way on adventures and exploring his new environment.

Max would love to find a home with a family who are around most of the time and are able to give him the time he needs to settle and learn about his new home, family and environment.
