OTHER INFO: We agreed to help beautiful Valentina when she was in danger of being put to sleep. Valentina was very sadly let down by the rescue who brought her to the UK.
Valentina had been placed in a UK foster home by the original rescue and she had been there for a long time.
The foster was given no financial support or help by the original rescue and, when the foster mum needed to go into hospital and had to urgently find a new home for Valentina, the rescue abandoned both the foster and poor Valentina.
We stepped in to save her life and managed to arrange for Valentina to go to a kennels which specialises in giant breeds so we can properly assess her and find her a new foster or her very own forever home.
Valentina lived in foster with a cat and children but, due to her size, older dog savvy children will be considered.
We are told that she lacks confidence outside of the home and can be reactive. She can also be wary of strangers and needs correct introductions to get to know them.
Valentina is up to date with all her vaccinations, flea and worming treatment.
Ideally we are looking for a rural home for Valentina with the space required for a giant breed dog. Giant or X large breed experience will be important.
