Max was saved from being kept on a chain in Bosnia, he was so pleased to be saved and was the most loving boy in rescue.
Max was really social with the other dogs in pension and loved to chase around and play with the other doggies. He really enjoyed being around his rescuer as well and would jump up for cuddles and affection.
Max was in a foster home but, although they played well, he did struggle with the dynamic of another dog in the house so we are now looking for a dog free home for him.
Max is a really loving and playful boy, he formed lovely bonds with his fosters abs they were very sad that they could no longer keep him. He loves his toys, his is favourite is his squeaky ball. He loves to be chased around the garden with his toys.
Max is still a young boy and still has a lot of puppy energy. He likes to play with other dogs with correct introductions as, like many dogs, he can be a little unsure at first but once he knows that the other dog just wants to play he's fine.
Max is a very clever boy and he loves to show you his tricks! He is very food motivated and has responded brilliantly to positive reward training. He already knows Sit, Paw, Lie Down, Spin, Up, and Go to Bed!
Max loves all sorts of chews, his treat ball and any other treat based games and puzzles that provide mentally stimulating enrichment and he can find treats! This is great for giving him some down time and encouraging relaxation and calm.
Max can be a little unsure of new things, like lots of dogs who are still settling in and learning about their new home and environment so he will need support and reassurance to learn that he is safe. He struggled with visitors coming to the home while in foster but again he is still within his settling in period and learning as a young dog so he will need support and a safe space for this.
Max would love to find a home with a family who are around most of the time and are able to give him the time he needs to settle and learn about his new home, family and environment.
If you think you can offer Max the perfect home please get in touch.
