Reina was rescued as a puppy in Bosnia, where she was heartbreakingly handed into a vet to be put to sleep because her owner decided that she would grow too big.

Thankfully, our rescuer stepped in just in time, and Reina was given the second chance she so deserved.

At 6 months old, Reina travelled to the UK and was fostered by our former team member Kat. There, she was beautifully socialised and thrived in a busy, dog-savvy household with three other dogs, a cat and a young child.

Reina is a loving, affectionate girl who absolutely adores her humans. She has lived happily with children, is incredibly gentle with them and loves nothing more than being close to her family. She is house trained, crate trained, enjoys her toys, loves water and is always happy to curl up for a cuddle after an adventure.

As a Caucasian Shepherd, Reina is loyal, intelligent and naturally protective of the people she loves. She walks well on lead, enjoys exploring, and has made good progress with her confidence. Like many guardian breeds, she needs an experienced owner who understands that she will continue to benefit from clear boundaries, calm guidance and thoughtful management while she settles into a new home.

Reina is looking for a calm, experienced home with a secure garden and someone who understands that relationships take time. Like many guardian breeds, she prefers to build trust at her own pace and benefits from gradual introductions to new people, visitors and dogs. Once she knows you, her loyalty and affection are second to none.

She forms incredibly deep bonds with her family and thrives with consistency, routine and clear guidance. In return, you'll gain a devoted companion who loves adventures, cuddles and simply being part of everyday family life.
