Murphy was rescued as a young pup with his siblings on the streets of Bosnia. He was brought to the UK at around 5 months old but sadly was recently returned to kennels due to his owners not being able to give him the time and commitment he needed
Murphy is a bright, affectionate young dog who has already made great progress and continues to grow in confidence. He loves his people, enjoys a calm home life, and is playful, curious, and eager to learn.
He loves going on walks, and is always running around with a toy or blanket in his mouth. He's a big fan of tennis balls and will wait nicely for you to throw it for him. He's made so much progress with his training! He knows sit, stay, down, walking lovely in heel, and waiting patiently for his breakfast, dinner and snacks. His recall is also slowly improving, with the help of a long line.
Murphy needs time and management around visitors. He can find close interactions with new people overwhelming at times, both on walks and with visitors in the home.
He needs a home with patient owners who can continue supporting his confidence and allow him to take things at his own pace. Murphy will need a safe space or area for when new people come to the home.?
Being back at kennels he has loved all kennel staff and meets them with an excited tail every morning
Murphy isn't destructive, is house clean, sleeps through the night in his bed downstairs and can be left on his own for up to a few hours without any issues.
He is such a loyal boy and really needs a family who will work through his issues and not give up on him. Murphy used to love snuggling up on the sofa and being back at kennels has been devastating for him.
